Panzer Regiment 3 of 2nd Panzer Division ordered to move from Pas-de-Calais area to Normandy.

SS Panzer Division Das Reich massacres 99 French civilians at Tulle in reprisal for Maquis sabotage.

Tenth Destroyer Flotilla (Royal Navy) off Cherbourg breaks up German destroyer attack on the Invasion Fleet.
