SUNDAY 11 JUNE 1944.

Tanks from Panzer Lehr confront British 7th Armoured Division at Tilly-sur-Seulles

SS Panzer Division Das Reich massacres 50 French civilians at Mussidan.

Rommel to Hitler "the effects of heavy naval bombardment are so powerful that an operation either with infantry or armoured formations is impossible in an area commanded by this rapid firing artillery".
